Margot Raggett is a world renowned wildlife photographer and conservationist.  We are very priviledged to welcome her along to Northfields Camera Club.  In this talk she’ll show examples of her work and her own personal photographic journey but she will also share the process of creating the Remembering Wildlife series and share inspirational images from those books too.  Each book contains images donated by many of the world's best wildlife photographers - these books will also be on sale on the evening!

Photographer Margot Raggett specialises in wildlife images taken in Africa and has been a frequent visitor there for the past eight years. She’s worked as a photographer in residence at Entim Camp in the Maasai Mara and also led photo tours across Kenya. But it was seeing a poached elephant in 2014 that led her to try and find ways to use photography to give back to the many species in dire need of our attention and help. She founded Remembering Wildlife that year by publishing Remembering Elephants, a collection of stunning images donated by many of the world’s top wildlife photographers. She has since published two more books - Remembering Rhinos and Remembering Great Apes and is currently working on a fourth volume, Remembering Lions which will come out in October this year. Together, the first three books have so far raised more than £460,000 for conservation and she firmly believes that it is the power of working together as a photographic community that has made the project so successful.
