Frank Holding Trophy

Our Frank Holding Trophy is our prize for a panel of prints. Here are the rules:

  • You may enter one or two panels.
  • Each panel should show three or more clearly separated printed pictures on one mountboard.  The aim is to link your images together strongly, for example: by theme, subject, colour or composition and preferably a combination of two or more of these.  Do feel free to experiment and try out your ideas.
  • You may mount the pictures however you please: by simply sticking them onto mountboard; by cutting mounts with the requisite number of apertures; by printing all your images directly onto one large sheet of paper; by using a ready cut mount that you’ve purchased.
  • The size of the mount is not specified but usually the club’s standard 40 x 50 cm works well.  The mounts may be shop-bought or home-produced and any colour of mountboard is acceptable.
  • Your images may be colour or monochrome.
  • The author’s competition number and name must be written on the back of the mount.
  • A panel title is a good idea but is not mandatory. Write it on the back of your mount or simply put ‘Untitled’.
